Because the project created by Rafa Nadal and his team, which started a decade ago (the first stone was laid in November 2014 and in 2016 it opened its doors to the public), is not focused only on the youngest, the generation of professional talent. Far from it, although diamonds have already been polished there like Casper Ruud, 143 in the world when he arrived in 2018 and finalist at Roland Garros and US Open four years laterwhen it also reached number 2 in the ATP.

There, just half an hour from Palma’s Son Sant Joan airport, in an impressive complex dedicated to the world of racquets, there is a place for all tennis fans who, in one way or another, want to enjoy their passion in some facilities worthy of any great club in the world.

To live this experience, the Rafa Nadal Academy has various training programs focused on all profiles that may be interested in improving their tennis. For adults, specifically, they have a high intensity program taught by the academy coaches under the technical direction of Toni Nadal, Rafa’s uncle and former coach. His main objectives are to maximize the strengths and minimize the weaknesses of the player, improving his tennis performance and physical condition.

This program lasts six days, during which the protagonist can feel like a true professional tennis player by having, in addition to all the facilities purely related to tennis, a hotel room in the same complex, spa, fitness center, relaxation rooms and three restaurants set at Roland Garros, Us Open and RNS Club House.

But to have the complete experience one cannot stop only with sports. Therefore, during these programs you can also have access to nutrition, physical preparation or physiotherapy services. As if you were within the ATP ranking itself.

The training system that they propose to you in this particular Balearic tennis city is based on the experience acquired by Rafa Nadal and his technical team during all his years on the professional circuit, as well as the time in which the tennis player from Manacor grew up to play against the greatest.

Namely: double daily training sessions in which the morning is used to improve the technical execution of the different shots and the afternoon to work on the tactical game, emphasizing positioning on the court, directions, neutral-construction, attack, defense and counterattack.

In an attempt to complete the training experience as if the client were a professional, real tactical competition situations are also simulated in order to learn how to approach the decisive points in a match. In this complete program Technique, tactics and winning mentality will be worked on in an integrated manner. Training is carried out with a maximum of four players per court and coach.

At the Rafa Nadal Academy you can breathe good tennis wherever you go. You only have to take a look at the team in charge of the project to realize that Rafa is the soul of the place, but he has also surrounded himself with the cream of the racket.
