He describes the 27 years as “extraordinary” and writes the following:

“I am at a loss for words to express how proud I am of all that we have achieved. I am grateful for the incredible support from my team, my collaborators, press and buyers, my friends and family, and our devoted fans and loyal followers. Thank you all so much for believing in our vision and believing in me.”

On that occasion, the 54-year-old just as easily emptied the brand’s Instagram account so that only one post remained. Incidentally, the brand’s Instagram account is followed by only one, while 1.1 million people follow it.

Simons recently showed what would be his last collection in London. The show was originally set to take place during London Fashion Week but was postponed after Queen Elizabeth’s death.
