A month ago Radosław Majewski became a player of Wieczyła Kraków. – It is fun – says about the game in the district.
The perpetual has a star composition for a district round – it is also played by, among others Sławomir Peszko, Michał Miśkiewicz and Piotr Madejski. How did Majewski find himself in amateur football?
– I’ve already found out that sometimes it’s not worth making feints. I remember one situation: I am running with the ball, I have a rival in front of me. I’ll wrap it to the right, I thought. I go inside and this one is nothing! He stopped. He didn’t react at all. Until it hit me. Then I ask him: “You, and you shouldn’t run left?” He didn’t answer anything, just looked at me as if I was a freak. So it’s fun – Majewski admitted in an interview with “Przegląd Sportowy”.
The former Polish representative does not hide that he is trying to avoid more serious clashes with his rivals. Sometimes he even prefers to give up fighting for the ball.
– We recently played in Grębałów. The top ball was flying towards me and I wanted to fight for it. But when I heard the panting of such a big guy behind me, I let it go so he would not raze me to the ground the experienced midfielder said.
It seems that Majewski would still have a lot to offer clubs from much higher leagues. The footballer, however, accepted that at a certain stage in his career he had already ended.
– Ekstraklasa did not want me. There was no interest. I had one specific and serious offer, but from a premier league club that is important in the fight for promotion this season. It was the turn of June and July. I decided it was still early for such decisions – Majewski explained.
