Radoine Zhar of Nice XIII Reflects on Season and Friendly Match Against Toulon

Radoine Zhar, rear of Nice XIII, looks back on the friendly match against Toulon and takes stock of his season.

Radon, can you introduce yourself?

Radoine Zhar, player and volunteer at Nice XIII.

A friendly match Nice vs Toulon where you were able to play, how was the match?

The game went in the best way. All the Nice players wanted to fight it out, to test themselves for their first rugby league match despite the stifling heat we had. We tried to complete our chains of downs with a simple, effective game and in defense with the experience and individualities of Toulon, we bet on the solidarity of the group, which was beneficial to us.

You played several games with Toulon while being dismissed in Nice, how was your season individually and collectively?

This season, I trained with Nice twice a week and on weekends, I made myself available to play with Toulon despite the kilometers that separate us. It was not easy, but I thank Toulon because I was very well received, they have a great group. I really enjoyed playing with Toulon, we had a satisfactory run with a quarter-final of the Challenge. I was hoping for better and the team also wanted to go further but we keep the positive where we fought well all season with a reduced squad. To be continued !

Do you have any high-level examples in the Super League or NRL?

My examples are Anthony Minichiello, Greg Inglis, Sam Tomkins and Shaun Johnson.

What are your ambitions for the coming seasons?

That Nice XIII is committed to the Federal and that we can show our sport, my passion, rugby league to all the Alpes-Maritimes.
