She informed that “Radio SWH Rock”, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, has acquired the status of national broadcasting by a decision prepared by the National Electronic Media Council (NEPLP) on July 22.
With the acquisition of the new status, the company “Radio SWH” has become the only commercial radio group in Latvia with three national broadcasting status radio stations.
“This is a historic event in anticipation of the twentieth anniversary of our station this autumn, and a real holiday for all rock music lovers in Latvia. It is a great appreciation of the work done so far and a turning point that opens new opportunities in the future, strengthening the traditions of the rock music genre in our country, ”said Artis Dvarionas, music editor of Radio SWH Rock.
Currently, “Radio SWH Rock” can be heard in Riga, Liepaja, Ventspils, Bauska, Jekabpils, Valmiera, Gulbene, Saulkrasti, Salacgriva, Saldus and Talsi.

According to the information of Firmas.lv, the company Radio SWH was registered in April 1993 and its share capital is 2.536 million euros. The real beneficiaries of the company are Tatjana Tolstaja, an Estonian citizen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Jānis Šipkēvics, Member of the Management Board and Filips Rubenis, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
