Milano – Saturday 21st May in Piazza Duomo the appointment with Radio Italia Live, il concerto free which this year celebrates i 40 years of Radio Italia. It is a grand return to live music, after two years of forced stop of the concert due to the pandemic. TO drive the evening, Luca Bizzarri and Paolo Kessisoglu, for the eighth year presenters of the event. Radio Italia Live – The Concert will take place in Piazza del Duomo starting at 20: 10 . Organized by Radio Italia, it is realized thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Milan. In the backstageto collect the emotions of the artists there will be the speaker Manola Moslehi; to intercept the enthusiasm of the public will be the speaker Daniela Cappelletti. The opening theme will be performed live, as in previous editions by Saturnine.

Much awaited – like every year – the list of singers who will take turns on stage in the heart of the Milanese capital. And also for the 2022 edition a true parterre de roi is expected.

Some important information is provided on the Radio Italia website. “To have fun in safety it is important to take into consideration some simple indications and understand how to get to the event in the simplest way”, explain the promoters. The start of the event is scheduled for 8.15 pm. A contingent number of people will be able to access the square e the installation of maxi screens is not foreseen in other areas of the city. Radio Italia reminds us that “l‘access to the event is totally free, but it is not possible to reserve your seat in any way “. The area reserved for the disabled will be on churchyard of the Cathedral and will have a dedicated access point from the ramp / slide in via dell’Arcivescovado or Corso Vittorio Emanuele II.

The concert will be broadcast live on Radio Italia solomusicaitaliana, Radio Italia Tv, on Sky Uno, streaming on Now and always available on demand and free to air on TV8.

METROPOLITAN

Lines M1 (red line) and M3 (yellow line) are enhanced and close later. M1 trains traveling after normal hours end at Molino Dorino and not at Rho Fieramilano. The last trains leave from the central stations around 1:10 am.

  • from the center to Comasina 1:10 hours
  • from the center to San Donato at 1:11

STOP DUOMO STATION

From 2 pm until the end of the service, the M1 and M3 trains skip the Duomo stop, closed at the disposal of the public security authorities. To change lines, use the Centrale, Loreto or Cadorna stations. To reach Piazza Duomo, get off at the nearby stations of Cordusio, San Babila, Montenapoleone or Missori.

PARKING LOTS

The Molino Dorino, Lampugnano, Bisceglie, Maciachini and San Donato car parks extend their opening hours until 2 am.

NIGHT BUS

As every Saturday evening, after the subways close, the replacement buses are in service together with the other night lines.

TRAM

From around 1 pm the trams of lines 2, 3, 12, 14, 16 and 19 are diverted and the cars could be slowed down. Therefore, consider longer travel times and longer waits than usual at stops.

Tram 2: in both directions it deviates between corso Colombo (Porta Genova M2) and via Farini. Pass by viale Coni Zugna, piazzale Aquileia, viale San Michele del Carso, Conciliazione M1, via Ariosto, largo Quinto Alpini, via Pagano, Arco della Pace, corso Sempione, via Procaccini and Monumentale M5. It does not pass through Corso Genova, Via Correnti, Via Torino, Duomo, Cordusio, Lanza and Viale Montello.

Tram 3: runs between Gratosoglio and piazza 24 Maggio. It does not pass through Corso di Porta Ticinese, via Torino and the Duomo.

Tram 12: runs between Roserio-Cairoli M1 (via Cusani) and Molise-Missori M3. It does not stop in Cordusio and Duomo.

Tram 14: operates on the Lorenteggio-Cantore (Porta Genova M2) and Cimitero Maggiore-Cairoli M1 (via Cusani) sections. It does not pass by Corso Genova, via Correnti, via Torino, Duomo and Cordusio.

Tram 16: operates on the San Siro M5-Duomo (via Cantù) and Monte Velino-Missori M3 lines.

Tram 19: does not stop between piazza Virgilio and largo Augusto. It is in service on the routes:

  • Lambrate-largo Augusto. From here it turns and ends in Fontana (with line 27)
  • Castles-Virgilio square. From here it deviates to Cairoli M1 passing through Cadorna.

ATM POINT

ATM Point di Duomo closed after 1.30pm. As an alternative to the ATM Point of Duomo, consider the branches in Cadorna or Centrale, open from 7:45 am to 8 pm.
