After the sale of the station 97.7 FM which housed Universal stereo, Radio Centro resumes the station’s programming and merges it with La Octava on the 88.1 FM frequency.
Starting June 1, Radio Center will transmit The eighth and Universal Stereo on the 88.1 FM frequency, reported Juan Aguirre Abdo, CEO of the radio station, in a statement.

A few days ago, it was revealed that Radio Centro sold the 97.7 FM station to MVS which will broadcast Mexican popular music.

Aguirre Abdo explained that La Octava will keep its informative content derived from the alliance with Aristegui News in the hours of seven to 10 in the morning driven by Carmen Aristegui.
In addition to two broadcasts at noon and in the afternoon conducted by Luisa Cantú from two to three in the afternoon, as well as Álvaro Delgado and Alexander Páez Varela from six to seven in the afternoon.

In the rest of the hours from Monday to Sunday, Universal content will be broadcast “under the direction of Francisco Aguirre Cranz, executive vice president of radio and production with the universal voice of Adolfo Fernández Zepeda,” the statement said.
The station will continue to broadcast the Beatles Club program.
