Radio 538 campaign week for food bank generates more than million euros | NOW

Mission 538, Radio 538’s action week during which money was raised for the food bank over the past five days, has raised more than a million euros. This was announced on Friday afternoon in the closing broadcast, which was presented by Coen Swijnenberg and Sander Lantinga.

Frank Dane, ambassador for the food bank, announced the final amount. The amount of money can be used to fill more than 223,000 food packages. More than 31,000 donations were made and more than 10,000 records were requested.

During Mission 538, which started last Monday, listeners could request records in exchange for a donation to the food bank. Well-known Dutch people and artists also came by to participate in the action.

In addition, people could organize campaigns to raise money for charity and volunteers and customers from the food bank spoke.

In addition to Dane, Lantinga and Swijnenberg, Wietze de Jager, Klaas van der Eerden and Barend van Deelen could also be heard in the action week on the radio station.
