Given the outbreak of coronavirus cases in the country, in several municipalities in 12 states the radio quarantine will be maintained this Monday when the week of flexibilization of the 7 + 7 plan begins, reported the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
From the Miraflores Palace, he explained that the National Government made the decision “because the virus is circulating and in the last seven days there has been a growth in its active cases for the control of the contagion chain,” he added.
Rodríguez specified that in the Capital District there will be radical quarantine in the 22 parishes of the Capital District and in the state of Miranda, with the exception of the Windward axis.
Likewise, the border municipalities of the state of Táchira, Apure and Bolívar will remain in this regime, as well as the jurisdictions: Turmero, Palo Negro, La Victoria, San Mateo, Cagua and Villa de Cura (Aragua); Mariara and Tocuyito (Carabobo); the municipalities of Zulia, except those of the South of the Lake; Torres (Lara), Boconó, Valera and Pampanito (Trujillo); El Vigía (Mérida) and Sucre (Sucre).
He announced that by presidential order special temporary strategic zones will be created in the states of Táchira and Zulia for those compatriots who enter through the gates.
On this point, the strategic operational commander, Remigio Ceballos indicated that the Comprehensive, Temporary and Special Defense Operational Zones will be installed in the Mara and Guajira del Zulia municipalities (Urdaneta 1); while in Táchira the Rondón 1 Operational Zone will be established, in the García de Hevia and Ayacucho municipalities, with extension to other municipalities. Both will coordinate activities between state organs and entities and local authorities.
Likewise, he asserted that two new Cuban medicines are incorporated into the medical care scheme. One is an antiviral for people in serious and critical condition, and the other is preventive.
This Saturday, the National Executive reported that in the last 24 hours in Venezuela, 249 new cases were registered due to community transmission covid-19, 101 imported cases, 1 case due to contact with a traveler, and 1 deceased.
