Radial Power acquires 22.3 MW of community solar projects in New York

Radial Power is positioning itself as a major player in New York’s power transition by acquiring these community solar projects from Galehead Development. These plants, with a total of 22.3 MW, are part of the VDER program, which aims to promote distributed energy resources. This transaction demonstrates both companies’ commitment to New York State’s clean energy goals.
Galehead worked with local communities and the National Grid to obtain the necessary permits and deliver lasting economic benefits to consumers, communities and local resources. Radial Power will now lead the development and final construction of these projects, consolidating its role in the renewable energy sector.

Strategic cooperation for clean energy

Galehead continues to manage the land assets for 14 MW of the portfolio through Century LandCo. A framework agreement between Galehead and Radial Power also provides for an additional 18.3 MW of community solar capacity to be closed in VDER by the end of the year.
