On February 15, rehearsals of the play “Elementary Particles” based on Michel Welbeck’s novel by director Chris Sharkov began at the National Theater. The premiere will be on April 21 at the Chamber Stage.
The participants are Teodora Duchovnikova, Jacqueline Daskalova, Dimitar Nikolov, Martin Dimitrov, Elena Ivanova, Slavena Zaikova and Darina Radeva.
The dramatization and direction are by Chris Sharkov, the translation is by Krasimir Petrov, the scenography and costumes are by Nikola Toromanov, the music is by Emilian Gatsov-Elbi, the multimedia is by Ralitsa Georgieva, the playwright is Maya Pramatarova.
The performance is part of the Program of the “Ivan Vazov” National Theater – “Theatre+. Theater. Text. Context’. “Theatre+” is a platform for long-term and joint creative work to exchange ideas and present new dramaturgical and stage trends of the contemporary theater. In 2023, under the Program, the performances were realized – “Parts of a Woman” by Kata Weber directed by Chris Sharkov, “Horo” by Anton Strashimirov, directed by Vasilena Radeva, “Walking with Gogol” based on stories by N.V. Gogol with a director Katya Petrova and “Antichrist, ch: VIII, X, XI” by Emilian Stanev, directed by Stiliyan Petrov.
