The main purpose of the newly appointed service cabinet is dealing with the bequeathed severe crises by the regular government that ruled for the last little over half a year in a number of sectors, as well as the lack of real reforms. However, this should be the main priority Bulgaria should not be involved in a military conflict in view of the situation in Ukraine and the tension between Serbia and Kosovo. This was the quintessence of the speech of President Rumen Radev, who presented the new, fourth caretaker government appointed by him at an official ceremony at “Dondukov” 2.
“You have the responsibility to deal with challenges that were spared the previous three Cabinets. You are taking responsibility for the governance of Bulgaria at a difficult time for our country – public fatigue from sharp political presentation, swirling inflation and impoverishment, prohibitive prices of fuels and energy carriers, lack of gas for the winter and a heavily indebted public provider,” the head of state outlined the main challenges facing the serving ministers.

“Your main challenge is related to security. A war is raging in the immediate vicinity of Bulgaria, the consequences of which are felt directly in our country and around the world, tensions are rising in the Balkans. The risk of war spreading to new territories is real and your first priority should be to keep our country out of conflictRadev said.
The interests of the ordinary consumer should be the basis of the state’s energy policy in view of the global energy crisis that broke out as a result of the war, emphasized Radev. The same should be the approach in the fight against the rise in prices as a consequence of the crisis in question.

Radev ordered more – to make a real revision of the problems already bequeathed by the GERB office – the construction of AM “Hemus”“, the repairs of dams and other dubious projects. The two caretaker governments from last year proved that it is possible to unite politicians from different horizons in the name of Bulgaria. This pattern was not continued by the regular government that followed, and this is one of the reasons for the failures in foreign and domestic policy.”
It should not be expected that anyone will give 100 days of tolerance to the new administration, the president warned at the end of his speech.

Don’t forget these words! They are not just a protocol sentence , don’t leave them in this hall. This is the oath with which we will be responsible for the destinies of the Motherland and our compatriots,” Donev addressed his ministers.
The acting Prime Minister also thanked President Radev for the vote of confidence. “I don’t lose my balance from the height and I don’t look for the loophole of the law. The president is the guarantor of the prime minister and the ministers to whom he gives his credit of trust. Mr. President, thank you for trusting me to run the country. The official government is not a “B” team in the management of the country, this is not my marketing ploy. The 100th government of Bulgaria is about to take office.”
