Political dilemmas after the failure of the third term:
Ninova: I did everything in my power to help despite accusations of being power hungry
Borisov: In 6 months they broke the state, collapsed everything
And the patriots are again trying to unify for the elections
A day earlier, the outcome of the third mandate came – instead of Friday, when the BSP was about to carry the president’s briefcase, it became clear already on Thursday morning that it would be empty. And the country is going to parliamentary elections for the 4th time in just a year and a half.
The plan of the socialists was to test the majority with a program of 79 laws with a horizon of 6 months. If the MPs find even a fragile consensus on the necessary changes for the recovery plan, the judicial reform, the electricity tariff for the poor, etc., they would nominate Asen Vassilev for prime minister.
However, only 106 votes supported the program to enter the agenda of the National Assembly.
One of the BSP group – the ABV man – also abstained
Vladimir Marinov. Deputies from GERB, DPS, “Vazrazhdane” and former partners ITN declared themselves united in favor of dropping it from the agenda.
The responsibility that lies ahead from today lies with those who did not support having a functioning government. It became clear to everyone that
“Revival” are a crutch of GERB, etc. – of DPS. Everything is it was hypocritical behavior and never are intended for Bulgaria to have a functioning government, said the chairman of the group of socialists, Georgi Svilenski. And announced that the BSP will return the mandate on Thursday.
I did everything in my power to help. I proposed open and honest negotiations for a government that would give security and peace. They attacked me for imitating to remain a minister.
I proposed that the parliament continue working until 15.08. and to hold the mandate until then. They attacked me for violating the constitution, and for doing it out of a thirst for power for another two weeks. I warned what awaits us without the chairman of KEVR. I was declared incompetent and greedy for power. I introduced a program and laws that would solve many of the problems. Today they were not even allowed on the agenda of the parliament, wrote leader Cornelia Ninova on Facebook.
Several hours were needed for “Dondukov” 2 to confirm that the president will receive the socialists today. Only at 5 p.m. were the media notified with a press release that Rumen Radev was waiting for the BSP on Thursday at 10 a.m.
With all moves exhausted before the end of July
the scenario of giving the parliament 2 more weeks of work and thus the vote is dropped
to be drawn for October 9th or 16th. Especially since the National Assembly has been on vacation since August 1, after all but the triple coalition voted against its cancellation.
From now on, there will be no parliament, said the head of the ITN group, Toshko Yordanov.
Thus, the most logical date for the elections is 2.X. Before the president, however, is the question of whether to leave the deputies a few more working days to adopt the most urgent changes. No. 1 among them was the case with KEVR, but yesterday a temporary solution was found on it.
From now on, the responsibility lies in the hands of the president and those who showed no concern for the people and no thought for the coming monthsNinova emphasized.
According to her, the rage, hatred and desire for a quick coming to power of the old model of government by GERB, DPS, ITN and “Vazrazhdane” killed any possibility of a statesmanlike and reasonable solution to get out of the crisis.
The sharp approach of the elections brought out again to the other two partners in the outgoing administration the dilemma of whether it would be more successful to appear with joint lists.
Logically yes we are talking to PP for pre-election coalition
in terms of the large electoral overlap we have. If we think about the people we represent, we have a duty to provide them with an opportunity not to divide. Therefore, we will make such a proposalsaid the co-chairman of DB Hristo Ivanov.
For the second time, he clearly articulated such a call to “Change”, although it is known about the reservations towards the idea on the part of the DSB led by their leader Atanas Atanasov. For the time being, the PP continues to refrain from answering.
We are going to elections because of party selfishness and a terribly petty attitude towards politics in Bulgaria against the backdrop of huge challenges. Inadequacy and gross irresponsibility, also comments Hristo Ivanov.
The leader of GERB, Boyko Borisov, went a step further – about the possible solutions after the vote and the expectations for a fragmented parliament again, in which his party and that of Kiril Petkov will still be the largest. “I can work with anyone who respects the motto of the National Assembly,” answered Borisov when asked if he would work with the PP.
Everything is upside down. In six months, they broke the state, collapsed everything. And the party that failed in the elections – BSP, suddenly turns out to be ruling the country, he commented from Haskovo.
VMRO called for a new patriotic unification. Some sites even wrote that a coalition was being negotiated with ITN because of their common Macedonian cause. Before “24 hours”, both parties denied this.
