The head of state Rumen Radev discussed at a working meeting in the presidential institution with the Minister of Defense Dragomir Zakov, the Chief of Defense Adm. Emil Eftimov and Air Force Commander Major General Dimitar Petrov the challenges to guaranteeing Bulgaria’s air sovereignty, the president’s press office said.
The President raised the issue of taking urgent measures to ensure the protection of our airspace by Bulgarian aircraft with Bulgarian crews.
The possibilities proposed in this direction by the Ministry of Defense require in-depth analysis, as well as timely and adequate solutions in a complicated geopolitical situation, it was emphasized at the meeting.
