Previous rumors that the Radeon RX 7600 will be launched before the end of May get new wind in the sails after an image showing a variant from Sapphire ready in stores before the launch began to spread.
AMD and Nvidia are expected to meet in the middle segment during the beginning of the summer. AMD is preparing its graphics card named Radeon RX 7600 and Nvidia is said to respond with the Geforce RTX 4060 Ti. Both devices have previously been rumored to be launched around the end of May or during the beginning of June in connection with the Computex fair.
These rumors are now gaining new energy thanks to a picture that has started to spread online. The image shows what should be the packaging for AMD’s partner manufacturer Sapphire’s variant of the RX 7600. More specifically, it appears to be several of these graphics cards that have already appeared at a retailer. If the picture turns out to be genuine, it could then point to retailers starting to build up stock of the upcoming graphics card ahead of the launch, which should not be far away.
The image confirms that the RX 7600 will be equipped with eight gigabytes of video memory. The same amount as the RTX 4060 Ti is expected to offer. However, new rumors claim that Nvidia is also preparing a 16 GB variant for the future. The Radeon RX 7600 is also expected to offer 32 compute units for a total of 2,048 stream processors. So a fully unlocked Navi 33 graphics processor.
The tipster who sent the above image to the website Videocardz claims that AMD’s upcoming graphics card will have a target price of around $250. Something that would mean just over 3,000 Swedish kronor. However, this information has not been confirmed and AMD has not even officially unveiled the device yet. Thus, the information should be taken with a grain of salt. Should the launch take place in connection with the 2023 Computex fair or on May 25, as rumors have also claimed, it won’t be long before we find out exactly what the graphics card offers and at what price.
