“More is better”: This is how Rödertal is fighting the shortage of skilled workers
Everyone is talking about the shortage of skilled workers – and there are still plenty of apprenticeships available. For anyone interested, there is the “late shift” when companies in Rödertal open their doors. Who is there?

Ottendorf-OkrillaThe global economy has seen better times – and yet the demand for skilled workers is still huge. And it is unlikely to diminish any time soon. Radeberg’s mayor Frank Höhme (independent) says it clearly: “The development of northern Dresden with the settlement of TSMC is an opportunity for the entire region. But it is also clear that this will increase the competitive pressure among companies even more.”
Local companies may have to make even greater efforts in the future to secure their future and to attract young talent. But which companies are there in the region? Anyone who wants to get an overview can take part in the “late shift” in September. A total of 28 companies from various sectors will be presenting themselves here.
What is the late shift and who is it aimed at?
