By 73 percent, residents of a new housing estate in Blaricum saw their energy costs rise as of January 1, 2023. Radar paid attention to this in February. After the broadcast, Radar’s mailbox filled up. More than 550 Eteck customers complained about the costs, maintenance and monopoly position of the heat supplier. He promised to provide text and explanation in Radar as soon as possible. They do that in the studio on Monday. How are they going to solve the problems?
Radar Checks! Airlines rebook flights all the time
Flights are changed all the time after a plane ticket has been purchased. After buying the tickets, travelers are confronted with changed, unfavorable flight times, extra stops or even being dropped off at a different airport. Airlines and travel organizations are allowed to change everything. A Radar survey among its test panel members shows that no less than 70% are not aware that flights may be changed. Travelers who were actually confronted with a change experienced more than 40% problems with the planning around the trip, which often leads to extra costs. And if you already have rights as a traveler, you are often not made aware of them by the airline or travel organization. Shouldn’t something change this? Fund is looking into it.
The fate of Triodos depository receipt holders
If you have a Triodos certificate, you have not been able to access your money for three years. This concerns more than 43,000 Triodos customers, the majority of whom are small investors. They chose Triodos certificates because they invest in social issues, among other things. But for now, Triodos customers can whistle for their money and the value has also plummeted. In Spain, several lawsuits have already been won by depository receipt holders against Triodos. In the Netherlands, Stichting Depositary Receipt Holders Triodos Bank has approached the Enterprise Chamber. The Court of Appeal has ruled that no further investigation into the policy at Triodos is necessary, because the bank has already given a lot of openness. Will the depositary receipt holders still see any of their money?
