On Friday evening, the Bern canton police carried out a targeted traffic control on Schallenberg (municipality of Röthenbach iE). According to a press release, more and more reports from the population about dangerous driving behavior on the route had recently been received.
During the inspection, sixteen over-speeding of motorcycles and cars were found. The highest measured speed was 132 km / h. A maximum speed of 80 km / h applies in the relevant section of the route.
The guilty drivers are brought to the responsible public prosecutor to report.
