Radan Kanev: EU to intervene because of the low percentage of vaccinated in Bulgaria

Europe’s powers go as far as necessary if national governments fail, MEP tells EP

EPP / Democratic Bulgaria MEP Radan Kanev today asked the plenary hall of the European Parliament for the European Union to intervene due to the low percentage of vaccinated against coronavirus in Bulgaria, announced BNR.

“This threatens the health of the country’s citizens, as well as others outside its borders,” Kanev said.

“The second government and the third parliament in Bulgaria are failing to organize a vaccination campaign, to stop the anti-scientific propaganda, which led us to the disgraceful result of about 20% vaccinated at 70 on average for the Union. So the answer is that Europe’s powers go so far. “to the extent necessary if national governments fail to protect our citizens,” the MEP said.
