People’s Deputies from the “Servant of the People” initiate a special plenary day in the Verkhovna Rada. It will be entirely devoted to the bills of the port sector and the maritime complex.

This initiative was voiced by the chairman of the party, Alexander Kornienko, during a working trip to Odessa, where he met with entrepreneurs and officials of the maritime industry.
“There are so many questions that we are already maturing a” sea day “in the Rada. Together with representatives of the industry, we will collect all the initiatives, formalize them into bills, and on this day we will vote only for them,” he explained.
Among problems of the maritime industry in SN they called the following:
- dividend policy, which does not allow state-owned enterprises to leave enough funds for their own development;
- encouraging the transfer of ships to the Ukrainian flag;
- the transfer of some of the income from the port industry to the needs of the communities;
- complex procedures for competitions for leadership positions in government structures, due to which the leaders of most of these enterprises work in the status of acting;
- lack of sufficient funds for dredging;
- complex regulatory procedures for the construction of private facilities on the lands of the water fund;
- high tariffs for railway transportation, which lead to the congestion of roads to ports;
- lack of legal mechanisms for returning leased property to the state-owned enterprise.
