Weighed down by injuries and a very young squad, the Racing Club de Strasbourg will be recruiting this winter. The Strasbourg club will have a budget of around 20 million euros in the transfer window.
If Racing Club de Strasbourg won in Lorient last Sunday (1-2), the players only remembered one image: the very serious injury of their striker Lebo Mothiba. The South African international will be unavailable for several months and the Strasbourg club thus finds itself deprived of one of its offensive assets. While Racing ends the year in the middle of the Ligue 1 ranking, Strasbourg leaders intend to strengthen their squad this winter. The priority is therefore to recruit a striker and a left back.
🤕 Victim of a fracture of the patella of his left knee during the match played by Racing in Lorient on Sunday, Lebo Mothiba underwent successful surgery today. The South African international striker will, however, be unavailable for several months.

An envelope of 20-30 million euros
The owners of the English club Chelsea do not want to recruit a player over 23 years old in Strasbourg. “The workforce is very young and lacks experience“, recently declared Patrick Vieira, the coach of the Raicng Club of Strasbourg. Young players are however still targeted by the recruitment unit to strengthen the Strasbourg attack. Furthermore, a left back could also be recruited since Thomas Delaine and Edouard Sobol could be pushed out at the end of the season. To recruit this winter, the Racing Club de Strasbourg will have an envelope of around 20-30 million euros..
