In the US state of Florida, a man in a supermarket shot three people and then himself. All three victims were black. Authorities say the killings were racially motivated.
The perpetrator, a white man in his twenties, entered the Jacksonville store at around 2 p.m. local time with two firearms and opened fire on customers. Two men and a woman were killed.
Shortly before the shooting, the perpetrator’s parents had found manifestos written by him in which he wrote about his hatred for black people. They called 911, but it was too late.
The Jacksonville sheriff said it was a one-man act. The shooter had drawn a swastika on one of his weapons.
