The BJP-Muslim League war of words continues, accusing each other of racism. PMA Salam, state secretary general of the league, said in a Facebook post that the Muslim League does not need to learn secularism and democracy from Surendran. The Facebook post is in response to allegations made by BJP state chairman K Surendran.

The backward Dalits have always believed in the Muslim League and are close to the movement. They have no obligation to convince the BJP. When the debate whether or not the League is a community party comes to the fore, it is an absolute reality that anyone who examines the political and social sphere of Kerala in the past cannot see that the Muslim League has adopted community positions at any point. The BJP is the only party left in Kerala which has not digested it in the new situation where the secular democratic views of the League have received a good certification from the CPIM.

Little do the BJP leaders know that the Muslim League is a group ready to protect the unity and integrity of the country and to work for the progress of the country, standing behind Qaide Millat who called “not to Pakistan but to join the pluralism of India”. I have only one thing to say to the president of the BJP who accuses the Muslim League of communalism. The Muslim League does not have the courage to learn from you secularism and democracy.

And as for UC Raman membership, not just one UC Raman, we also gave membership to a thousand Raman this time too, the backward dalit communities have always believed in the Muslim League and attached themselves to the movement. PMA Salam clarified that we are under no obligation to persuade the BJP.
The state chairman of the BJP has said that the Muslim League is a flesh-and-blood community party. It is a party that gives membership only to Muslims. K Surendran also said that UC Raman is also not a member of the league. This angered the league.
