The comedian has achieved a personal victory – he managed to throw the blonde presenter off the television. Her show “Paparazzi” will soon be stopped by BTV due to low ratings, according to Weekend sources. The decision was made shortly after it became clear that Dimitar Rachkov’s new show would take place on Sunday night, when “Paparazzi” would also be broadcast.
It will be a real miracle if Maria airs by the end of May, when the contract between the television and its producers Ivan and Andrei officially expires. According to rumors, the team of “Paparazzi” currently has prepared 4 or 5 programs, which were broadcast on BTV. The television was discussing whether to tell Ivan and Andrei’s people to stop there. According to the contract, the show should remain in the program at least until the end of May, but the rating was so low that it was better to pay penalties to the producers, instead of continuing to fill expensive airtime with unseen production.
At the same time, Nova TV finally gave the green light to the long-awaited show of Dimitar Rachkov, which at least for now seems like a sure hit. The show lasts two hours – from 8 to 10 pm. It is practically not detected with “Paparazzi”, which starts at 10 pm – just when Rachkov says “Goodbye” to his viewers. But despite everything, no one expects people to change the channel immediately after the end of the new show. They are more likely to start preparing for the beds, as they will have already received their evening dose of TV entertainment, and the next day is working – Monday.
“Paparazzi” has undergone major changes since the official host was Maria Ignatova. The team brought in more laughter and fun at the expense of the gossip that was a major part of the show from its launch years ago on the now defunct TV7 until last year, when BTV temporarily took it off the air due to the pandemic. Regular viewers did not accept the new format and slept to watch, and no new fans were found. After all, “Paparazzi” turned out to be a black hole in the rating of television. Rachkov’s positioning on Sunday night was the last nail in the coffin of the show, people familiar with the matter claim.
