She writes on Instagram: ‘Dear Angela de Jong. After countless columns about people who do matter and hardly anyone wants to say anything about it, I’m now going to stand up for my loved ones, myself and fellow human beings’, Rachel begins.
Rachel then invites Angela to her newly opened tea bar in Amstelveen so that she can see with her own eyes that it is not ‘to keep up’, but ‘to work hard’. “We have 150 to 200 formulas, fresh tea to sweet tea, unfortunately nothing sour, but you don’t need that either.”
–
Incidentally, Rachel also let us know that she is already busy for a second tea bar in Barcelona.
Then she would like to give Angela some unsolicited advice, just as she has done in her column: ‘Try to delve into your fellow man before you start typing things. Whether someone is fat or thin, has sprayed lips, is LGHTI +, or if someone enjoys a sunbed every now and then: dude, on what basis should you judge that? Live and let live.’
–
Then Rachel’s reaction becomes deadly serious. She thinks that Angela does not realize that her statements can have a deep impact on people. ‘Do you realize that some people commit suicide because of bullying and certain statements or pieces that actually say ‘you should not be the way you are’? You also indirectly contribute to this with all your sour short-sighted opinions about appearances.’
Rachel closes with the message that she would like to hold up a mirror to Angela and that the tea is ready for her. The entire message can be read below.

What Angela wrote in the relevant ‘hate column’ with the title: ‘I would like to explain to André, Sarah and Rachel why the Netherlands vomits them’ is here read back.
