Rabies vaccination will cost 18 euros. It should be remembered that, in order to supply the animal with this vaccine, it must be chipped. In the event that you do not have this identification, you can also put it at a price of 29 euros. “These initiatives aim to bring the possibility of vaccination closer to our neighbors, especially those who cannot move and more economically,” explained Councilor Nelson Ligero.
These campaigns can be carried out thanks to the Official College of Veterinarians of Granada, which carries them out every year to facilitate animal care for all citizens in accordance with the provisions of article 3 f. of the Order of April 19, 2010, “which establishes the compulsory treatment of pets, their identification data in the sale and the slaughter methods of the same in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia”.
Ligero wanted to thank the Official College of Veterinarians and all the neighbors who take care of pets, “because having them is a serious responsibility not only with the animal, but also with the environment, collecting excrement from the road.” . The mayor has taken the opportunity to remember that pets should not be abandoned because summer arrives, since it is an act of cruelty that is punishable by law.
