KEFAMENANU, VICTORY NEWS – Antonia Olin, 62, resident of Lemon Village, West Miomaffo District, North Central Timor Regency (TTU) was rushed to the Kefamenanu Regional General Hospital (RSUD) because she showed symptoms of contracting rabies.
Antonia is known to have been attacked by a stray dog, which is suspected of being infected with rabies, about a month ago.

He was treated by local medical officers and declared cured. However, he again showed vital symptoms of contracting rabies.
The middle-aged woman tested positive for rabies and is currently undergoing intensive treatment at Kefamenanu Regional Hospital.

“It’s true, the patient in question tested positive for rabies,” said the Head of the TTU District Health Service, Robertus Tjeunfin, Tuesday (7/11/2023) in Kefamenanu.
According to Robertus, the Lemon Village resident showed typical symptoms of rabies when he was evacuated to the Kefamenanu Regional Hospital, namely a phobia of water.

The patient experienced these symptoms after being bitten by a stray dog some time ago.
