BANGLI, KOMPAS TV – During the last few months the number of dog bites in Bangli Regency, Bali has reached more than a thousand bite cases. Of this number, forty-three of them were positive dog bites for rabies.
The dog bite rate in Bangli Regency, Bali, has been very high since the last few months where until the end of May there have been more than one thousand ninety cases of bites spread across four sub-districts, namely Bangli, Shrink, Tembuku and Kintamani sub-districts.
From the number of bites that occurred, forty-three were declared positive for rabies dog bites. The case of these bites increased compared to the previous year which only occurred one hundred and two bites.
Of the thousands of bite cases, all victims have received var and sar vaccination. With the high number of bite cases that occur, the vaccination movement continues to be intensified, to every village in Bangli to prevent the spread of rabies.
