His party admitted that they did not hold any exact data related to the incident anywhere. But what is clear, until now there have been 13 cases of bites. Now, the implementation of the vaccine is intensified. “Our vaccine has been carried out since the beginning of the year. But it is being carried out in stages. In fact, it will continue to be carried out now,” he explained.

It was stated, for Badung there were at least 82,000 more HPRs that had to be vaccinated. Currently, his party has vaccinated more than 48,000 HPRs. “So until the end of May 2023 we have done more than half of the HPR vaccine from the specified target. We hope it can be completed quickly so that it is safe for animals. We also hope that bite cases will also be minimal,” he added.

As is known, the Badung Regency Government through the Agriculture and Food Service (Disperpa) is again intensifying the rabies vaccine for thousands of Rabies Transmitting Animals (HPR). This was done considering the rampant reports of rabid dog bites. Previously, dog bites were reported in the Badung Puspem environment. The case was handled immediately.

Not only targeting areas that have been affected by rabies cases, the implementation of the vaccine is now targeting developing tourism areas, one of which is Ungasan Village.

The implementation of the vaccine in Ungasan Village was carried out for 3 days, namely from 22 May 2023 to 25 May 2023.

During the 3 days of implementing the vaccine, the Badung Disperpa managed to vaccinate 4,592 HPRs. “So this vaccination is carried out by targeting all HPRs in all Ungasan villages,” said a vaccine officer at the Badung Disperpa. (gus)
