Since the start of the epidemic, 631 people carrying the coronavirus have died in Normandy, in hospitals and in nursing homes. According to the latest ARS report, as of June 25, 237 people were hospitalized in Normandy, including 10 people in intensive care. New cases in schools
Four schools in Seine-Maritime and Eure have received students or staff members who tested positive for Covid-19 since Wednesday June 24, 2020.
Schools Pergaud in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray and Pablo Picasso in Petit-Quevilly have closed their doors “as a preventive measure”. Since mid-June, these two cities have experienced the appearance of several epidemic outbreaks due in particular to family reunions.

In Val-de-Reuil (Eure), the school Coluche had to close three classes, after the detection of two schoolchildren tested positive. A student of the school Graindor in Rouen was also tested positive for Covid-19. After evaluation of the ARS, the class and the school will remain open.

In both cases, the contaminated pupils are in segregation at home and the risky contacts, identified thanks to contact-tracing, have been placed in the fortnight. The ARS maintains the health recommendations for barrier gestures. Despite the appearance of new cases, the ARS considers that the situation is “mastered“. Deconfinement or not, vigilance remains essential.
