• Latvia’s Under-18 national team claimed their first victory in the Baltic Cup today, beating Sweden’s Under-18 national team 81:71. The day before the Latvians succumbed to Finland.

• During the match, Latvia regained the 18-point lead gained by the Swedish players in the first quarter (28:10).

• Starting from the second quarter, the initiative was taken by the Latvians, who didn’t give it back until the end. You won the second quarter with 11 points, the third with ten and the final with seven.

• For the second straight game, Robert Blum became the national team’s top basketball player, scoring 25 points in nearly 30 minutes, making seven of 12 long shots.

• Meanwhile, Toms Salnājs excelled with a double-double: 15 points and 11 rebounds. Ten more points for Kristaps Soldatenokas on the field in Liepāja.

• The Latvian national team conclude the Baltic Sea Cup tomorrow with a match against neighboring Estonia.
