One of the anticovid measures activated in the Quirónsalud centers in Tenerife.
The day

The Quirónsalud centers in Tenerife, like the rest of the group’s hospitals, maintain all the organizational measures and protocols implemented more than a year ago to guarantee prevention and control of covid-19 within their facilities, as both Aenor and Applus + have verified through the renewal of the Covid Safe Protocol certifications issued by both institutions.

The extraordinary situation caused in March 2020 by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus led to new demands on cleaning, hygiene, control and organization requirements for all sectors. And with that objective, all Quirónsalud hospitals underwent a rigorous auditing process to corroborate the suitability of all the measures adopted to protect the health of patients, becoming the first Spanish hospital group to certify that their centers guaranteed prevention. and control of covid-19 in its facilities.

In the Canary Islands, Quirónsalud Tenerife and Quirónsalud Costa Adeje also became the first hospitals on the Islands to obtain the Covid-19 Safe Protocol seal., awarded by the Applus company, with which they demonstrated the quality and effectiveness of the changes they had to introduce in all their work processes to control and minimize the possibility of contagion in their facilities and thus be able to continue giving their patients the better healthcare.

A year later, and given the current situation of the pandemic, both Aenor and Applus + have again analyzed all the measures adopted and have corroborated that all Quirónsalud centers continue to be protected spaces, controlled and aligned with the most demanding standards against the pandemic caused by coronavirus.

In the renewal of the certifications, the “extraordinary deployment” of material and human resources aimed at the implementation of prevention measures and fight against the risk of spreading covid-19 has been highlighted, as well as the commitment of the organization and all company professionals in complying with the measures adopted.

Quirónsalud is the leading hospital group in Spain and, together with its Fresenius-Helios parent, also in Europe. It has more than 40,000 professionals in more than 125 health centers, including 50 hospitals that offer nearly 7,000 hospital beds.
