Juan Fernando Quintero, the Colombian attacking midfielder of River Plate, is offered by Ajax according to De Telegraaf. In South America there are rumors that the Amsterdammers have a serious interest in the 27-year-old playmaker, but he would be too expensive.
Quintero, who played for FC Porto in Europe and already made his debut in the Colombian team in 2012, has been offered to the team from Amsterdam. However, the morning newspaper also reports that Ajax ‘does not yet see anything in it’, partly due to the high price of the attacking midfielder.

De Telegraaf thus responds to rumors from South America, where the local Radio del Plata reported that Ajax had 15 million euros left for Quintero. The midfielder, however, has an escape clause of 22 million euros in his contract. According to Radio del Plata, River Plate was prepared to listen to the proposal from Amsterdam, but De Telegraaf refers these rumors to the realm of fables.
Quintero is known as a technically gifted player, but he is particularly sensitive to injury. For example, he has just recovered from a serious cruciate ligament injury and was often in the rag basket during his career.
