Quinceañera’s Organ Donation Saves Lives of Five People After Brain Death

Through social platforms, the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) shared a story (organ donation) that has undoubtedly moved thousands of Internet users on the Internet.

But, what is it about? Well, nothing more and nothing less tells the story of a young fifteen-year-old who, after suffering Encephalic death he donated his organs to benefit at least five people.

The organ donation was authorized by the minor’s parents, who escorted her along with family, friends and medical personnel from the General Hospital of the Zone (HGZ) number 2 of the IMSS Aguascalientes; where the young woman was even wearing her fifteen-year-old dress.

Also, the IMSS of Aguascalientes revealed through networks some photographs and videos of the young woman’s farewell and through a press release it was notified that the organs sought were: livers, kidneys and corneas; in addition to tissues that will be destined to patients who are on the waiting list according to the data established in the National Transplant Center (Cenatra).

“The liver was sent to the Naval Medical Center, while kidneys and corneas to the High Specialty Medical Unit (UMAE) Specialty Hospital No. 1 of the Bajío National Medical Center, in Guanajuato”; stated the agency.

Through a video, they recognized the story of the young fifteen-year-old who donated her organs after brain death; and where her relatives accompanied her until the last moment dressed as a princess.
