Quincaillerie R+: A Hardware Store Dedicated to Resource Conservation and Job Creation

The hardware store, which sells the necessary for plumbing, small-scale construction and electrical work, in addition to offering seasonal items, has given itself the mission of “saving” 5,000 tons of material per year.

The concept behind Quincaillerie R+ is to revalorize in Ateliers R+ materials and materials deposited in the network of ecocentres in the Lac-Saint-Jean RMR.

The new Quincaillerie R+ business location will create five jobs. The proceeds from the sales are also used to support people “in need of additional springboards to integrate and stay in the job market”.

The other two R+ hardware stores are located in Alma and Dolbeau-Mistassini.
