Saturday morning, at the Quimperlé rescue center (Finistère), Franck Pocher, president of the Amicale, shows the firefighters’ calendar. A calendar that is always well designed, with beautiful photos and quality paper. But it doesn’t have the same flavor as years gone by.
We still owe it to ourselves to broadcast it
The Covid crisis has shaken everything up, even the friendly door-to-door to sell it. No way to do it because of the standards of distancing. The print run has been reduced: 4,000 copies instead of 7,500. Out of respect for advertisers, we still owe it to ourselves
, specifies Franck Pocher. A solution must be found in the municipalities of Quimperlé, Baye, Mellac, Arzano, Rédéné, Le Trévoux and Tréméven. In some municipalities, firefighters have left their calendar in stores. The traders are responsible for selling it. Here, we prefer to offer it directly to the population. Collection points will be set up for two weekends in January. The dates remain to be defined.
Remember that the sale of calendars is a special moment between the population and the firefighters. Above all, this makes it possible to collect some funds for the social action of the wards and the improvement of daily life in the barracks.
