Quillan Voix, a choir open to all, was created at the beginning of October 2023, at the initiative of the association L’arbre de silk which already runs three activities, chair yoga, biodanza and the dance group Les dinguettes , a completely wise addition for this collective focused on well-being.
At the end of their first singing session of the year 2024, Thursday January 11, the choristers shared the galette des rois and the blanquette and took the opportunity to take stock of this young association which is doing well and is has grown since its creation, it now welcomes 24 members from Quillan and the surrounding area.
Quillan voice entrusted the accompaniment of the singers to Éric Bennes, musician, singer and songwriter, holder of a DU, university diploma in vocal coaching, traditional music and popular music obtained in 2014 in Tarbes.
Accompanied by his guitar, he leads the singers towards a very eclectic repertoire which ranges from South American music to French songs. “I am very happy with the osmosis that has been created within the group and the sound which is refined over the course of rehearsals. Indeed, an ensemble like this allows you to adjust your voice as precisely as possible and “It’s the whole that ultimately brings harmony,” says Eric enthusiastically.
The choristers meet together every Thursday morning to share this most complete singing session which always begins with a vocal, physical and rhythmic warm-up.
