Classic holiday Easter baking takes a very long time to prepare. Most of the time is spent on kneading the dough, dough. Due to the fact that the dough is not kneaded enough, it may not fit, and the pasca will not turn out. But it turns out you can cook Easter cake, bypassing this stage for a simple and quick recipe.
“Lazy” paska, despite the fact that it is not kneaded as usual, turns out to be airy, soft and does not get stale for a long time.
Ingredients for making lazy pasta:
- 350 g wheat flour,
- 2 eggs,
- 150 g sugar
- 150 ml milk
- sachet of vanilla sugar
- a pinch of salt,
- 10 g dry yeast
- 100 g butter,
- 150 g candied fruits, dried fruits or raisins,
- lemon peel
How to make pasta without kneading the dough:
- Mix yeast, sugar and some flour. Pour the mixture with warm milk, stir with a spoon and leave for 10 minutes. When bubbles appear on the surface, the yeast is activated and ready to bake.
- Heat up the butter to soften it. Add eggs and sugar with salt to it. Stir the mixture, bring the mass to homogeneity.
- Combine the yeast mixture with the butter mixture, mix. After that, gradually add the sifted flour. Flour should be added so much that the consistency of the mixture resembles thick sour cream. The dough is ready
- Cover the dough with cling film and leave to rise for two and a half hours. The volume of the dough should increase significantly, then stir it with a spoon.
- Pour boiling water over dried fruits, candied fruits or raisins and leave for 10 minutes. Then drain the water, dry them with a paper towel and add to the dough.
- Spoon the batter into the molds so that it takes up a third of the mold. Cover the molds with a towel and leave to rise so that the dough has grown and takes up 3/4 of the mold. This process will take over 40 minutes.
- Bake “lazy” pasta in the oven for about 30 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.
- After baking the pasca, when it has cooled down, apply the glaze.
