An experienced gardener told how to make humus from weeds in bags
September 4 – NVL. It became known how experienced gardeners make natural humus, which takes only two months to ripen
For those gardeners who don’t have a compost pit or space for a compost heap, bagged vegetable waste is a great option. This method not only saves space, but also does not take much time. In addition, ants and other insects, except for worms, cannot start in bags with plant waste, since with proper preparation of humus, waste substances must always be moist and covered with earth from above. This is reported by an experienced gardener on the Klumba-plus Zen channel.
So, to prepare a quick humus, it is better to take young grass, leaves, weeds or tops from vegetables, removing coarse branches and stems. Turn the bag inside out so that it warms up in the sun. In no case should organic substances be allowed to dry out inside the bag. It is necessary to water regularly so that the rotting process does not stop and unnecessary insects do not start in the bag.
The bag itself should be closed, but not tied. The bottom and sides should be pierced in several places so that excess water pours out after watering and air penetrates inside. Such humus can be prepared both in autumn and in spring. It will be ready in 2-2.5 months.
