Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) until now stated that they have not officially reopened the sixth generation orders Jimny which launched in July 2019. SIS is now in the process of completing all incoming orders with an estimated completion time of up to five years.
SIS Marketing Director Donny Saputra explained that Jimny’s pivot was closed in September 2019. He did not explain how much the total pivot was, but it is estimated that there are more than 3,000 units from 53 dealers throughout Indonesia.
“The last pivot was closed in September 2019, until now we have not opened the pivot anymore. Because it is still fullfill, still fulfilling orders. It’s still not finished, it’s still a long time, more than five years, “said Donny on Friday (9/10).
According to Donny, efforts to fulfill the pivot this year were hampered by the Covid-19 pandemic. He said that the quota of 50 Jimny imported units per month from Japan was cut in half.
“53 dealers, rationing 50 units. Now conditions like this can at least be half, 20-30 units. So we also have to divide. So we try to divide it equally per dealer. Alternation. We try [dapat] from Sabang to Merauke, “said Donny.
Donny also said that until now there were still many people who “forced” to order Jimny. However, his party selects consumers who will get the unit ration first.
He said consumers ‘Suzuki lovers’ will have the opportunity to get the first unit with a history of having owned a Suzuki car before.
