The majority or 76% of the population believe that manicure and pedicure specialists should be allowed to work in an emergency, according to a survey conducted by the research company Kantar TNS, which is featured in the TV3 program “900 Seconds”.

Of the Latvian residents surveyed, who believe that beauty care providers, such as manicure and pedicure specialists, should be allowed to work during an emergency, 35% believe – definitely yes, but 41% – rather yes.

Meanwhile, 17% of the population do not believe that manicure and pedicure specialists should be allowed to work in an emergency situation, of which 11% believe that they should rather not, but 6% believe that these specialists should definitely not be allowed to work in an emergency situation.

In turn, 7% of the population do not have a specific opinion on this issue.

It has already been reported that in discussions on additional restrictions on Covid-19, politicians will have to agree on whether both hairdressers and manicurists would be allowed to work in the current situation, or whether both professions would be barred from doing so. Currently, only hairdressers can provide their services.
