The presence of the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Russia Sergei Shoigu is in question as the invasion of Ukraine continues. The whereabouts of the Minister of Defense Russia This is so mysterious that it triggers various speculations.
Reported by CNN, Friday (3/25/2022), Shoigu, who is a close ally of President Vladimir Putin, has stayed away from the public and media attention recently. Though he played a major role in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
A report by Russia’s independent investigative outlet Agentstvo, citing anonymous sources from the Russian Defense Ministry, on Wednesday (23/3) local time said Shoigu was in poor health.
The Kremlin or the Russian presidential office declined to comment on media reports that Shoigu had health problems.
Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, on Thursday (24/3) local time also seemed to avoid questions about Shoigu’s health condition.
Peskov said the defense minister had a lot to deal with. So according to him now is not the time to appear in front of the media.
