Amsterdam – Amsterdam mayor Femke Halsema and her partner Robert Oey have bought a new home in the municipality, while they are renting the official home on Herengracht. However, there are serious doubts as to whether they can turn the new building into a second home. The own municipal rules prohibit the habitation of a second home for Amsterdam residents.
