Querétaro Reports High Influenza Vaccine Coverage During Cold Season 2023-2024

QUERÉTARO, Qro., February 26, 2024.- The Ministry of Health (Sesa) of Querétaro reported that 444,932 doses of the influenza vaccine have been administered, reaching 90.90% of the state goal.

During the 2023-2024 cold season, 734 positive cases of influenza have been recorded in the state, with 5 deaths.

Nationally, 8,300 positive cases and 288 deaths were reported.

Health Services Personnel of the State of Querétaro (Seseq) apply the vaccine in the 198 health centers located in the 18 municipalities during the opening hours of each unit; In addition, a vaccination post is located in Plaza de Armas from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It is also applied at the ISSSTE Family Medicine Clinic (Avenida Tecnológico 101 Col. Centro) from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. At the ISSSTE General Hospital, on the first floor in office 4, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

In the Santa Rosa Jáuregui delegation, at the kiosk in the main garden from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and at the ISSSTE San Juan del Río Unit, from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. at 5 p.m.
