This variant is presented in three flavors, namely strawberry, grape and orange. For every 1ml, there is a paracetamol content of 100mg. Tempra Drops’ target is children aged 3 to 24 months.
This variant can be administered to children aged 3 to 9 months every 4 hours at a dose of 0.8 ml. As for children aged 10 to 24 months given 1.2 ml every 4 hours.
Side Effects of Temper
This drug is relatively safe to use. But under certain conditions unwanted side effects may appear. For instance:
- Jaundice.
- Light or clay-colored stools.
- Dark colored urine.
- The appetite has disappeared.
- Pain in the upper right abdomen.
- Nausea and vomit.
If this occurs after taking Paracetamol Temper, stop using it immediately. Immediately visit a doctor or the nearest health facility to consult and get help.

The price is quite expensive
For an antifebrile drug, the price of Paracetamol Tempra is quite draining. For a 60ml bottle of Tempra Syrup, it is offered at a price of around Rp 50,000. Meanwhile, the Tempra Drop has a slightly more expensive price tag, which is around Rp 55,000. for the 15 ml format.
Quenching interactions with other drugs
Although Tempra is safe for children to use, negative interactions can occur when taken together with certain medications.
- When used concomitantly with tuberculosis medications it can increase the risk of liver damage.
- The paracetamol contained in Tempra may also react with domperidone or metoclopramide and increase the risk of side effects.
- If Tempra is taken together with phenytoin, phenobarbital, cholestyramine and carbamazepine, the effectiveness of the acetaminophen in these drugs will decrease.
- Other drugs that may interact with Tempra include chloramphenicol and warfarin.
Things to note
The important thing to note when using Tempra is to always consume it according to the instructions for use written on the package. Do not increase or decrease the dose without your doctor’s advice.
Always consult a doctor if you have any special health conditions before taking Tempra. For example, if you have or have kidney or liver disease, are planning a pregnancy, are pregnant or are breastfeeding.
Do not use Tempra if you or your child have allergies to the ingredients of this medicine. If you are taking this product, do not drink or eat foods that contain alcohol. This will increase the risk of liver function damage.
You should also consult your doctor if you plan to take Tempra at the same time as other herbal products, supplements or medications. This is a form of anticipation so that drug interactions do not occur. Quench should not be taken together with acetaminophen.
