The royal couple is currently on their summer vacation. They have previously said that there will be a Norwegian holiday this year, and that they will travel a bit with the royal ship.
In addition, they are going to the cabin on Mågerø in Tjøme.
The queen is still very active and has a lot of programs, 55 years after she became part of the Norwegian royal house.
Last month she and the king went on two official trips, both to Nordland and then to Denmark.
Even then they used the royal ship.
– We are very lucky to have that opportunity. It is absolutely certain, said the queen.
Queen Sonja, née Haraldsen, married the then Crown Prince Harald on 29 August 1968. 22 years later she became queen, when King Olav died in 1991. Queen Sonja then became the first Norwegian queen at the age of 52.
The queen is known for her interest in art and for being a keen walker and enjoying Norwegian nature.
