The band Queen released a song with late frontman Freddie Mercury on Thursday. It is the first new song in eight years by the band with the voice of Mercury, who died in 1991 from the effects of AIDS. The track is called Face it alone.
The new song was left on the shelf for years, until band members Roger Taylor and Brian May stumbled upon it again. They said it this summer BBC Radio 2 on the search for music.
The track dates back to the period that the album The miracle was recorded in 1989. “We found a Freddie gem we had forgotten about,” Taylor said. “But it was beautiful, a real discovery.”
Queen included three unreleased Mercury songs on their album for the last time Queen forever since 2014.
