It’s a birthday with a jet black edge. Last Saturday the names of Willem-Alexander, Máxima and their daughters appeared under an obituary in NRC for the son of one of Willem-Alexander’s closest friends, Frans de Beaufort. Jan de Beaufort passed away last week at the age of 19, his funeral is today.

In addition, the work for the Oranges continues today. At the end of the afternoon, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Koeleba is received by King Willem-Alexander at Huis ten Bosch Palace.
