Queen Elizabeth (96) has struggled with mobility problems recently, and has had to cancel participation in several events.
On Tuesday, she paid a surprise visit to Paddington station in London to see the finished “Elizabeth line”. It writes, among others, the newspaper Independent.
– We are all incredibly touched and moved and grateful to Her Majesty that she came to open the Elizabeth line today. It was fantastic to see her, said Prime Minister Boris Johnson according to the newspaper.

Out of the wheelchair
“In a happy development, Her Majesty the Queen is attending today’s event to mark the completion of the Elizabeth line,” a Buckingham Palace spokesman told the PA news agency.
The queen was out of the wheelchair for the occasion, which she has occasionally used recently, and rather used a cane.
The Queen’s participation had not been made public in advance.
– The organizers were informed about the possibility that she could participate, the spokesperson says.

Health problems
Friday the queen appeared in public for the first time in two months. Exactly one week ago she was absent from the opening of parliament for the first time since 1963.
The 96-year-old monarch has struggled with mobility problems.
During this year’s Easter, the Queen was absent from several events, and recently Buckingham Palace announced that she will not be seen during the royal garden party season either.
