Britain’s Queen Elizabeth has made a surprise visit to Paddington Station in London. It is the first time in more than two months that she has appeared in public away from her home.

The 96-year-old queen visited Paddington Station with her youngest son, where major work for the tube line that bears her name has been completed. “In a fortunate development, the Queen attended the event today for the completion of the Elizabeth line”, reads a statement from Buckingham Palace.
The queen, dressed in sunny yellow, finally appeared in public again. For more than two months, the British only got to see their queen at events that took place near her home. There were also great concerns for her health. They haven’t disappeared after today: the Queen needed a cane, but she had her widest smile with her. She also spoke to workers, subway drivers and other attendees. Mayor Sadiq Khan and Prime Minister Boris Johnson were also there in London. “It was fantastic to see her,” said the latter.
